Autoresponder: Measure Twice!

Every now and then I take a little time off from my usual duties as an Internet Marketing Traffic Team Member and Autoresponder Expert here at Overcome Everything, Inc., to pursue a new project with a hobby of mine: Woodworking and Cabinetmaking. My big screen HDTV went on the fritz several months ago, and I just can?t stand the thought of football season arriving, and me without my big screen!

Therefore, the purchase of a newer and better set has happened ? leaving me with a slight problem:
the new TV won?t fit where the old TV was? I did say a slight problem, because the solution is?

A new woodworking and cabinetmaking project!

It always starts the same way, planning, drawing, estimating materials, etc., and as I was going through this fun stuff it suddenly occurred to me this is exactly what a new Internet Marketer must do when setting up their business and choosing an Autoresponder service.

It pays off big in the long run when you take the time to plan the structure of your Internet marketing business, especially when deciding which Autoresponder to use. The Autoresponder is the backbone of a marketer?s overall system, doing the bulk of the work behind the scenes, though it may seem like a boring part of the business at times. But believe you me, if you mess up and choose the wrong autoresponder, or if you get a good autoresponder but don?t take the time to learn the system and apply it properly, your internet marketing business will teeter on the brink of failure, and your profit reports will be way more boring than you ever thought an autoresponder could be.

A seasoned old country trim carpenter (picture ?Festus? from the old Gunsmoke series) once told me ?Boy, you?d best always measure a board twiced afore you go to cuttin? on it.? Now, old carpenters aren?t too fond of repeating themselves or explaining the wise words they just gifted you with. Rather, they enjoy laughing at you when you get yourself in a mess because you didn?t listen and tried to do something your own way. And that?s exactly what happened when I mis-measured an expensive piece of oak trim and cut it about an inch short.

Don?t get caught in a mess like that with your autoresponder. Take your time, do a little planning, thoroughly check out a few systems, and see if they ?measure up? to your needs and expectations, before you jump the nail gun and waste your money on something that doesn?t quite fit your business.

Here are three great autoresponders you should seriously consider:

1. Mailchimp.com ? great for beginners, they even have free level. It doesn?t have all the bells and whistles, but it?s a great resource for learning how autoresponder systems work.

2. Ninjaresponder.com ? this one?s the mac-daddy, it?s got everything you?ll ever need in an autoresponder including awesome templates, a user-friendly interface, and high deliverability. We liked it so much we bought the company!

3. Aweber.com ? very similar to Ninjaresponder, and has a great FAQ section, tutorials, and user forum.

If you want more information about which autoresponder system is right for your internet marketing business, hit the link below, and you?ll be taken to a free video page that will show you exactly what you need for your type of marketing project. And remember to always ?measure twice, cut once? ? or you may one day find yourself in need of a ?board stretcher!? (I?ll let you figure that one out!)
