7 yr, 14.3h, bay. Gabe came to us from Queen Anne's County. He was rehabilitated at Paradise Stables before being transferred to our facility for castration and adoption. Gabe was recently castrated and is currently recovering from his surgery. Once he is healed, he will be looking for his new home. Gabe has a very gentle, laid-back temperament and is giving us every indication of being a very nice boy. He is curious about the other horses and has met two colts over the fence with no problems, so he should be good with other horses. Gabe is good for leading, grooming, picking up all feet, shots, and oral meds. We can't wait to see how he turns out once he's started into our training program! Days End Farm Horse Rescue does not sell horses. We do ask for an adoption donation to help defray the costs of rehabilitating future horses. We adopt to the entire State of Maryland and 100 miles from Days End Farm into the states of VA, DE, PA. We do not have the funds or manpower to do this properly in other areas. Save Our Seniors (SOS horses). Save an "unwanted" horse, spend time with an equine friend AND get a tax write-off - that's the benefit of our SOS program! The SOS campaign helps fund Days End horses that are limited in their riding capabilities. They may be blind, disabled, arthritic or have special medication or feeding requirements. These horses make wonderful companion animals, for other horses, farm animals, pets and people! You are required to take the horse to your own facility for ongoing care. SOS Assisted Living Program. You provide all necessary food, shelter, medications, medical care, hoof treatment, etc., at your facility. You submit a list of all expenses and receipts related to the care of the horse to Days End each month and you receive a donation letter for your tax-deductible expenses.
